Our Projects
Lesedi Community Projects (“LCP”) are currently all based in Ntabayengwe village, a rural community 15 kms outside of Victoria Falls Zimbabwe.
LCPs aim is to provide intergenerational high-quality education, health, skills training and related projects that support the relief of poverty, sustainable development and improved quality of life in the rural communities outside Victoria Falls.
The Projects currently supported are :
Lesedi Primary School: a community primary school teaching around 260 children from pre-school to Grade 7.
Lesedi Secondary School: a community secondary school teaching around 220 children from Forms 1 to 4 (end of compulsory education in Zimbabwe).
Lesedi Clinic: a community medical clinic which provides health, maternity, vaccination and welfare support to the surrounding communities.
Further Education Scholarships: some scholarships are provided for those children who could benefit from higher academic education.
Most of the school children and the clinic patients are from the disadvantaged local communities. All projects are run on a community basis with community engagement (eg: via School Development Committees at the Primary and Secondary schools), and they employ around 50 teachers, nurses, staff and volunteers. Affordable school and clinic fees are charged but most funding is still provided through private donations via LCP. LCP has a Board of Governors and employs a small team for governance, finance and other administrative requirements.
LCP could engage in additional relevant projects related to its objectives, however, given the financial constraints these are likely to be limited to the existing location. The priority as of 2026 is to potentially add a Vocational Training Center to support vocational trade skills beyond school leaving age on existing land available between the schools, but only if new funding can be secured for the capital and ongoing operational costs.
